The art market is fickle—

Basquiat outselling Old Masters, Banksy topping Kusama.

Art values are strange, subjective, and often unpredictable.

Michael Maloney brings clarity to a fickle market, delivering valuations grounded in auction data, dealer insight, and private sales expertise.

Since 1997, Michael has worked as an art appraiser, specializing in 20th- and 21st-century modern and contemporary paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, and new media installations.

Michael Maloney is an accredited member of the Appraisers Association of America and has been USPAP-certified through New York University since 2002, renewing every two years.

Michael also has a 100% acceptance rate with the IRS.

Since 1997 no donation appraisals have been questioned or challenged by the IRS.

Michael Maloney is USPAP (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice) compliant through June 30, 2026
